SADDLE – The area of the cover which separates the front from the back

BACK PANEL – Advertising and more recently the striker usually appear on the back panel.

STRIKER – The area of the cover where matches are struck. Current matches have striker on the back. 

FRONT PANEL – The section that tucks in. Generally advertising goes on the front panel.

MANUMARK – Usually found between the fold lines at the bottom of the book telling who made it.
